New YMIN Series Capacitor for PD charger

Why YMIN Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor for PD charger appeared ?
With the rise of the third-generation power semiconductor GaN in power chip applications, YMIN is invited by internationally renowned power chip brands to develop miniaturized aluminum electrolytic capacitor products for PD fast charging, such like Navitas, innoscience. Liquid aluminum electrolytic capacitors are applied to the input high-voltage side of PD fast charging; solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors are applied to the output low-voltage side of PD fast charging to meet the urgent needs of high power density and miniaturization of PD fast charging products. The matching large-capacity, small-volume, high-reliability products have been highly recognized and favored by the market after their launch.

GaN PD charger Input——-YMIN Hign Voltage Liquid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Advantage
1.Large capacity
2.Ultra-Small Size
3.low leakage current
4.high ripple
5.low impedance
6.Anti-lightning

The gallium nitride fast charging market is booming. With the high power density performance of gallium nitride fast charging chargers, the liquid high-voltage, large-capacity and miniaturized KCX series developed and produced by YMIN uses mature patented technology and new materials to break through capacitor technology. Barriers, the failure rate of the whole machine is controlled at 15PPM, the consistency is the best, and the reliability is the most stable.

GaN PD charger Input——-YMIN Hign Voltage Liquid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Main Recommend
1.Ultra-small size, large-capacity products
2.105°C, 3000h
3.Anti-lightning strike, dripping current (low standby power)
4.High ripple current, high frequency and low impedance

Recommend capacitor : KCX
Radial Lead Type,Ultra Small Size, Low ESR, High Ripple Current, Low LC,400~500 V DC,4.7~100 uF, -40~105°C, 2000~3000 Hrs.

GaN PD charger Ouput——-YMIN Low Voltage Solid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Advantage
1.Large capacity
2.Ultra-Small Size
3.low ESR
4.low leakage current and stable
5.Withstand large surge current
6.100,000 switch shocks

GaN PD fast charging achieves high power output through high voltage and high current, so as to realize fast charging. Its output voltage can reach up to 12V, and its output current can reach 5A; therefore, the output filter capacitor will choose 25V voltage, large capacity , low ESR solid capacitors. A large enough capacity can ensure DC support, and a sufficiently low ESR can ensure the filtering effect. However, conventional 25V solid aluminum electrolytic capacitors have such a problem: the ability to withstand switching shocks is insufficient.

GaN PD charger Ouput——-YMIN Low Voltage Solid Aluminum Electrolytic Capacitor Recommend
1. Ultra Small Size, large capacity Series
2. 105°C, 2000h

Recommend capacitor :
NPX: Radial Lead Type, Miniature Size, Low ESR, High Frequency, High Ripple Current,6.3~100V DC,2.2~10000 uF,-55~105 °C, 2000 Hrs

VPX: SMD Type, Miniature Size, Low ESR, High Frequency, High Ripple Current,6.3~100V DC,2.2~10000 uF,-55~105 °C, 2000 Hrs

Test data and market feedback show that after repeated switching charging and discharging (including but not limited to frequent plugging and unplugging of fast charging), conventional 25V solid-state aluminum electrolytic capacitors will experience significant capacity attenuation, accompanied by an increase in ESR , which will lead to the deterioration of the DC support capability of the solid capacitor, the fast charging speed will be significantly reduced, and the fast charging will no longer be fast! The rapid rise of ESR will lead to larger output ripple of fast charging, which will bring many negative effects! With fast charging, you will often encounter power outages when plugging and unplugging, so fast charging must be able to withstand frequent charging and discharging.
