New Catenic solution for efficient controlling of corporate IT & shared services
Unterhaching (GER), 13 February 2012 – Catenic AG will introduce Anafee 4 as SaaS offer in March 2012. Anafee 4 is a new major release of the controlling standard software of the software specialist. A strong process orientation, benchmarking features and multi-client capability are among the major new features. They will enable a value-oriented controlling of IT and shared services. With the modular SaaS solution, the financial management software vendor now provides a cost-efficient entry-level controlling solution for medium-sized companies. Major global clients have the option of running the software in their own computer centers.
Compared to the previous version, Anafee 4 has undergone major re-development. Numerous functional innovations to planning, calculation and accounting of service processes make it easier for enterprise users to manage IT and shared services departments according to cost/benefit criteria. With its improved ease of use, a high degree of automation and affordable entry-level options, Anafee 4 will promote the replacement of obsolete Excel applications in controlling.
Constant benchmarking, centralized controlling
Comparability and benchmarking capabilities are among the central themes of Anafee 4. The new user interface is highly process-oriented and offers the user standardized planning and constant comparisons between planned and actual figures at a glance. Current service costs, service quantities and quality aspects can be compared to the planned figures on a continuous basis via planning scenarios, baselines or pivot tables. This allows the user to react quickly to any deviations from plan.
In addition, Anafee 4 can be used to integrate benchmarking structures for external market comparisons into the service delivery model. The rapid availability of all relevant data for benchmarking on a unified software platform significantly facilitates and accelerates data collection. It supports carrying out effective periodic benchmarks on internal service performance and costs vs. external best practices.
Another important new feature of Anafee 4 is the multi-client capability. It enables a centralized controlling of standardized service processes and their synchronization with all shared service organizations (clients) in the company. For global operating companies, Anafee 4 particularly includes a multi-currency cost management.
Quick start, customized deployment model
The new Catenic solution is based on a completely modular system. Previous Anafee sections, such as calculation or accounting, are now fully independent solutions. This enables companies to take quick first steps and flexibly expand their controlling solution to meet their requirements.
The standard software integrates external finance, cost and organizational data from virtually all relevant data sources, e.g. SAP, CMDB, business warehouse or Excel applications. Third-party solutions can also be integrated easily in the future.
Anafee 4 will be available as a SaaS (Software as a Service) solution for the first time. Large customers have the option of running it in their own computer centers, however. Standardized best practice template and rule sets, a short implementation phase of only a few days and the avoidance of high investment costs through the flexible, periodic user fee in the cloud are intended to make the controlling solution attractive for medium-sized companies.
